Why do you want to go to business school and why now?

What is your reason for applying to business school? Is it because you’re an investment banker completing a two-year training program, and an MBA is the next logical step? Do you want to change careers? Is an MBA necessary in order for you to move ahead within your organization? Do you want to launch a start-up while attending business school?

There is no right answer to this question; every applicant has his or her reason for applying- and you should be able to state yours intelligently. You also need to be able to answer why you want to go to business school now. Why not next year? Why not five years from now? Why not ten years from now?
