Your guide to a career in financeTM

Why business school?

Before you spend the time (and money) to begin this process, you had better know the answers to the above questions. Answering these questions will accomplish three things:

  1. Once you know what you want out of business school, it will make your search for the right school much more focused and meaningful.
  2. Once your goals are clear, it will help you in crafting your application. Your essays will be much more compelling to the reader, and you can project your goals to your recommenders who will write much more meaningful letters of recommendation.
  3. Knowing why you are in business school will help you in taking the right classes and joining the right organizations according to your interests and career goals. The recruiting process starts early, with companies visiting campuses the very first semester. Being focused on day one of business school will help you in interacting with recruiters and landing that summer position.
