Robert (11/10/09): what is the decision process of hiring new candidates? How do banks differentiate between similar qualified candidates?
Is there a single person who decides on the hiring new junior banker or is there an decision panel? Typically who are on the panel (i.e: Associate, VP, MD)?

Who ultimately makes the hiring process to choose which analyst or associate that will work in the firm?

WIll it be best to directly contact the senior bankers of the group I want to work in?
