Accredited Investor
Under SEC REgulation D, a wealthy investor allowed to put money into a private limited partnership. An accredited investor does not count towards the 35-person investor maximum. To be accredited, an investor must have the following:
- Investment cannot be over 20% of investor’s net worth
- Net worth over $1M, OR
- Over $200K annual income, OR
- Invests at least $150K into the deal
