About Founder
Kaine "Ken" Alozie, ARM, MBA
Ken Alozie is an experienced investment professional and entrepreneur with M&A advisory, divestiture, leveraged buyout and capital raising experience. He is currently a Managing Director with Chicago-based private equity firm Luminis Capital (www.luminiscapital.com). Prior to Luminis Capital, Ken worked for leading financial firms, including Lehman Brothers, Oracle Capital Partners, Marsh & McLennan and P&M Corporate Finance.

Ken earned a Masters in Finance from London Business School and an MBA from the University of Michigan where he was President of the MBA Finance Club and Finance Career Counselor. There, he helped undergraduate and MBA students navigate the investment banking recruiting process and prepare for careers in finance. He also earned a Bachelors in Finance from Loyola Marymount University and was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society.

Our Mission: To level the playing field to a club that can be very exclusive to outsiders.

During my first week of business school, I overheard the following conversation between two MBA students:

MBA Student #1: So what do you want to do after business school?
MBA Student #2: I really, really want to do investment banking.
MBA Student #1: Really? Do you have any backups?
MBA Student #2: No. Banking or bust.

Years later, I never forgot that conversation and it became the inspiration for this website. Bankingorbust.com was made by bankers, for aspiring and current finance professionals. Finance recruiting this year may be one of the most intense processes you may experience. Fortunately, we are here to help.
